Great Pho and Duck. We have dined here for lunch and dinner 4 times. All were great. Great service too.

The quality of food is very good, but the quantity is not enough for a guy. I went with my husband last week for the first time and we liked the red curry beef and pad Thai. One thing I really don't like about this place is that they warm up their rice in the microwave which means they keep their rice in the fridge until we order them. I like my rice warm and fresh so this is a big no no.

The food was not that good. The service was unfriendly. The waitress was scary as someone else stated. Will not go back.

This was the best accidental find!! We will make this a regular stop when we dine out. The decor is very simple, spacious and possibly a tad over-lit. Our waiter/host was very gracious and service was prompt. We liked that we could choose how much spice for any dish. I had the grilled shrimp in garlic sauce and it was exquisite!

We had 3 different entrees and 2 appetizers and enjoyed them all. The steamed potstickers were delicious and the edamame beans were steamed without being mushy. Serving sizes were large on the entrees. The staff was friendly and attentive. The decor was average. I would return and recommend.

UPDATE: 7/8/2013- Next vist with takeout was horrid. 42.00 for 3 entrees - I mean joke entrees. Don't even think of charging $13 for a dinner size takeout and it looks like this. (see my pics) Chicken fried rice was horrible! a few onions and about a 1/4 cup of chicken mixed with some old rice. So bad! We had to mix rooster sauce with it to add flavor enough to eat part of it. We also ordered green curry- awful - pasty - very bad. The curry sauce was so bad. They simply add more green curry paste and think it's going to be good. SO BAD! And the rice still sucks! I would think they would read the reviews- but no! I asked if their rice came in a traditional rice container (take out) that keeps it warm and they said it does. Well no- of course it didn't. You get a tiny amount of rice in a joke container. I guess it was okay considering the green curry was so horrific you don't need any rice! Really sad! This place sucks so much and I was hoping that it was a hole in the wall hidden gem in Fort Myers. Tip of the day- trip to Thailand and learn to cook - and stop being so cheap. When I called to order, the girl asked me what number I wanted! WTF? I asked her if she had an online menu and she told me they didn't. Does she think their food is so awesome that I'm carrying around their menus? Give me a break and realize that this is why you have no business! BAD food and stupid people! FIRST REVIEW: My review went between a 2 and a 3. The place seems clean and depending on who is working, you either get a very friendly girl or a so so personality. I've ordered take out there once. The pad thai was probably a 4 out of five. The green curry is probably also good- not great but good. I ordered the dinner size take out which were about 12.50 each. I think it's kind of high for thai food. The portions were pretty small. The one thing I hated was that they give you a tiny container of white rice. It's not thai sticky rice either. Instead of a normal container of rice in traditional take out containers, they give you a little styrofoam container. We ate in one day for lunch. Hubby had the shrimp fried rice and it was quite good. I tried the steamed dumplings with chicken and didn't like them. Chicken was bland and didn't taste fresh. I think a good addition would be to have some vegetable steamed dumplings. We had to ask for chopsticks! Come on now! Not to sound bad about this place. I will go back. The food is good. I think a huge improvement would be to give larger (normal size) portions for take out and eat in. Get better quality chopsticks and always provide them to customers. And lastly, thai sticky rice and serve more of it with a meal. Rice is cheap! These things done, I would go between a 3 and 4 as a review. Other than that, go in and check them out. It's pretty hard to find good Thai food around here. It's even harder to find this place. They are hidden at the back of Honey Baked Hams and the sign is really hard to see.

Was ok, now great! New ownership has upgraded the decor and quality of food. Fresh. Flavorful. My wife doesn't like spicy, I love heat; they can accommodate us both. Great lunch prices. But just as good an option for dinner.

There are several very good Thai restaurants in the Fort Myers area and this is certainly ONE OF THE BEST. We stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday in April and sadly we were the only diners at the time. Nevertheless, the food was truly outstanding. The vegetables were fresh and the Green Curry with Pork and the Basil Thai stir-fry with Beef were delicious. This place is one of our favorites.

  • Lauren P.

This is the worst Thai restaurant I have ever been to. We waited over 30 minutes for take out after arguing with the waiter who wanted us to dine in. The massaman curry was literally a quarter of the way filled in the small take out container and was very spicy even though we ordered mild. And the Pad see ew was a very small portion and completely dry. NEVER AGAIN!

  • Thelonious F.

The food here is good. It isn't close to the best option for Thai food in town but if you're in the neighborhood and really want some Thai food, it'll do. The people who run this place are a little clueless and can be annoying with their lack of attention to detail. It's not normal to have to ask for silverware three separate times in one visit, right?

In the area on vacation from Miami and we were craving Thai food. Went on a Saturday night for dinner and the restaurant was empty. The staff was very friendly and attentive but the food was not out of this world. We first ordered spring rolls as an appetizer that were delicious. We later had soup that was satisfying but not the best. The spice was on point to order which is a plus. The main dish was the deal breaker for us. None of our dishes had any spice. We've had Thai food many times prior to this experience and we were just not impressed with our main courses.

I just moved here a year ago so i'm still trying to figure out great places to eat. Finding great thai food is a scary thought here in fort myers but to my surprise we found a great one here! found this place through the yelp reviews and my husband and I decided to give it a try because we were craving thai food. We tried the pad thai, spicy beef salad and panang curry. The beef salad was really refreshing and had just the right amount of kick. Everything we had was good and surprisingly authentic. Service was very friendly, we would definetely come back!

Very good. Of all the Thai restaurants we ate all while working in Ft. Myers this was by far the best. The kitchen even made a dish that I wanted that wasn't on the menu. Best bet on the menu are the duck dishes. It's only $12 which is half the price of the other restaurants we went to,

Great food and service. I'm visiting Ft Myers and this place gives the Thai places on the East coast a run for their money.

Food was ok. Pad Thai was not the best. I will say there Spicy is Spicy!

Eh, I didn't like it as much as everyone else seems to. I appreciate everything being vegetarian-adaptable, but unfortunately, what I ordered just wasn't good. We started with fried tofu (rather blah) and sweet and sour sauce (which was supposed to be peanut), and moved on to the blandest green curry I've ever tasted. I had to ask for a basket of condiments in order to add any spice at all to the dish, and even then, I was only able to add heat, not flavor. The staff was pleasant and the vegetables seemed fresh, but that's about all I can say that is positive.

    (2)
  • Jacob B.

A pleasant, decent thai restaurant. We were sure they made everything fresh, since they said they would make anything on the menu vegetarian. I had the soft shell crab with ginger sauce, which was somewhat bland until I noticed the strips of fresh ginger that the dish was topped with. Plain atmosphere, which was fine, but it is not a fancy restaurant. It's clearly family run. They had a TV playing which was pretty distracting. Certainly not the best restaurant I've been to, but it was perfectly adequate.

Can we say amazing? I first stumbled upon this glorious restaurant back in 2004. My friends and I were shopping at Family Thrift just a few feet away and decided to break for some much needed food. I am so happy we ended up here. We were greeted by the owner, who we later will come to find out will greet us every time we enter this palace. I have never strayed away from my original dish, pad thai, ginger salad, and sometimes I'll splurge for the spring rolls. My boyfriend, at the time, and I would make it a point to visit at least once a month. Around Christmas time the owner actually gave us gifts! It was so nice to be appreciated by this man who we began to love and adore, not only for his wonderful restaurant, but for his lovable jokes and interesting puzzles. In 2005 I moved away to college, but would always come back to eat here on breaks. Every time I drive by it makes me so happy to see those pretty lights around their sign, letting me know they're open and ready to make me some amazing food! The last time I went there, the owner let me know they were moving soon. I'm not sure if it's happened yet, but I hope those of you who appreciate this place as much as I do realize that they didn't go out of business, they just moved down the road! If you love Thai food, give this place a try! I know you'll end up coming back for more and more and more.

Very good Thai food and affordable prices. We ordered crab rangoons and vegetable fried gyoza for app they were very good and for dinner I had ginger chicken with a level 2 spice just enough kick! The only thing was that all our entrees came out separate but would give it another shot!

  • Karley M.

Really good food but not a great atmosphere. Ordered the ginger salad which I wasn't a huge fan of, the tofu soup which was actually really good and flavorful broth, pad Thai which was very good and would definitely come back for, and the pad woon sen which was flavorful but wish it had more noodles. It was also very empty when we came in around 6:30 pm. Will likely return.

Food was great! Started with Fresh Spring Rolls that were indeed fresh and expertly wrapped served with a fantastic peanut sauce . These were a shared appe along with the lightest vegetables tempura I had ever eaten . Both were big enough to take some home to my hubby. I had the Thai Beef Salad along with Tom Yumm Gai.y friend had Shrimp Pad Thai that was loaded with medium size shrimp, maybe 10. I would have given 5 stars except that my salad and soup came out too early as I had asked it to come when friend got her entree. Oh, one last thing, service was impeccable .

I ate there today with my husband. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I had a huge bowl of luscious coconuttyTom Ka Gai soup, no chicken, extra mushrooms, and I drank every drop! My husband had the won ton soup that was filled with fresh veggies and he emptied his bowl as well! Next, I enjoyed the thick velvety (NOT WATERED DOWN!) Panang curry spiced to a perfect eyeglass fogging 4 out of 5 on the heat scale. I felt myself melt in the heavenly blend of exotic flavors, closed my eyes, and let out a satisfying mmmmm with every bite. My dish was filled with tender green beans, broccoli, multi colored peppers, and thinly sliced beef, surrounded in a sauce so good that I wanted to lick my plate! The rice was fragrant jasmin and cooked to perfection. I could only finish half of my entrée but the leftovers that I just devoured were just as heavenly as a few hours ago. My husband loved his chicken broccoli dish but I was too lost in flavorgasms to notice much beyond his full colorful plate of food. Wild horses couldn't keep me from returning to this gem of a restaurant family owned and operated, staffed by cheerful and beautifully vibrant grand daughters, and cooked with love and expert skill by a dream-grandmother that I never saw but heard plenty about. A+++

Great service, and the waitress was amazing. However, $60 for a subpar lunch is ridiculous. The food was very average, yet overpriced.

Not sure if my review will be fair because I've had better tom yum goong but I was in Thailand so hard to compare as they might not be able to get some of the local spices here. Overall the place was cute and clean. Waitress was real attentive. She recommended the panang curry which was true to her words it was good but not spicy. She stated the spicy level range from 1-5, I opted for the 4 but it wasn't even spicy at all. Worth a try if crave curry.

One of my husband's favorites for lunch so he wanted me to try it. Delicious! We had the Fresh Spring Rolls and a complimentary soup which we both really enjoyed. My husband is vegan so he had something with tofu. I tried the Thai Fried Rice (1 on the heat scale) and it was great! I would go back and I would highly recommend it! A family run restaurant!

Excellent!!!!!!!! If you like Thai food get your butt in here! Staff very friendly! We had fresh Sping Rolls Crispy Duck and Drunken Noodles Very delicious. It's kind of tucked away and not visible from 41 but you can find it!!

Amazing! We eat a lot of Thai food, this was one of the best meals we've had to date. I liked that they have a spice scale (1-5)... I prefer just a little spice and ordered my Pad Thai at a 3 which was perfect. My son ordered the Pad Broccoli (no spice) and a week later he's still talking about how good it was. The soup that we were given while we waited for our meal was full of flavor. Everything was exceptional and the staff was very friendly. We are looking forward to the next time we're in Fort Myers so we can dine here again.

Was pleasantly surprised and will be back to try more dishes! Very hard to find any good Asian food in the area, let alone Thai food! Had the Ginger Salad, Fresh Spring Rolls, Vegetable Tempura, Shrimp Pad Thai & Pork Se Ew and everything was tasty. The only con is that the dishes came out one at a time.

A bit pricey $12.95 for chicken pad Thai add two extra dollars if you want shrimp. But you do get what you pay for; the ingredients are super fresh, tasty food, and very friendly service.

This is, by far, my favorite Thai restaurant in Ft. Myers. The new owners have done an excellent job remodeling the restaurant and the food is better than ever. The portions are generous - I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and split it with my son...we are both full! The Spring Roll appetizer was delicious, as was the Thai Donut dessert (which is free when you check in with Yelp). The staff was attentive and our food arrived quickly. We'll be coming back to Bangkok Thai again soon!

Delicious! My husband and I had the green curry (heat at #4) and the pad thai at about a 2 1/2 heat. Both dishes were really flavorful. Would have loved to have had a few more bean sprouts with the pad thai but that is certainly not a big deal. The service was excellent ... quick to anticipate our needs but didn't "hover." We look forward to a return visit and recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys Thai cuisine.

We absolutely love Thai and usually order out once a month at least and we've been doing so for more than 10 years. Love Panang and Massaman curries, Pad Thai, Nam Sod. Great food, friendly people, had a special request they filled perfectly. Will definitely go back! Also, not as expensive as the other Thai restaurant we frequent. Pleasantly surprised.

Tried this restaurant yesterday for the first time during lunch hour and I was extremely impressed. The server was friendly and on time, the manager came to check on me. I tried the vegetable rolls and the Lad Na with Thai tea; everything was delicious and reasonably priced. I will definitely be visiting this location again.

Where do I begin with the place..... I was referred to this place by a family member who I came to visit. Me and my family spent the weekend in Fort Myers and we are from Orlando and wanted Thai food and I'm so glad we ate there. When we walked in, we were quickly greeted right away and sat us at our table with the menu. Looking around it just felt as if it was a family owned restaurant operated by the family. Just felt like a little cozy restaurant with nice bamboo decorations by the front window. As we were looking through the many selections on the menu the server came and took our drink order. As she returned I asked what was her favorite entree on the menu she told us the curry duck. Not knowing how big/small the portions were we ordered 2 appetizers 2 noodle dishes and 2 entrees for my family of 4. We started out with the Nam Sod which was excellent! Huge appetizer could even be great as an entree with rice. The other appetizer we had was the beef salad which was very light and fresh that held tons of flavor! Then later all the food came out. The Pad Sa Ew and Pad Thai were also nice size portions really great noodle dishes that you just can't go wrong with. We also ordered the Shrimp Pad Basil which is a stir fry shrimp with basil along with colorful veggies which is not bad.. But the dish that set it off was their Curry Duck which our server recommended. The whole entire dish was Phenomenal the duck was not fatty had nice lil crunch topped with veggies nice curry sauce which wasn't to powerful just nice balance with the curry. Overall Service was Great! Clean Restaurant so are the restrooms!Portions are Huge, good bang for the buck! Food was Superb! Just a nice family owned restaurant. We will definitely return to Bangkok Thai Restaurant when we are back in town..

Excellent crispy duck with baby corn. Have come back repeatedly for this dish. They also had a check-in deal for free Thai donuts, which I hadn't tried before, and were delicious.

Maybe they remember us from previous visits, regardless, the staff is as friendly and helpful as you need them to be. We rely on our server to,suggest new dishes for us and every time we visit we try something new, although I have to muzzle myself not to order a chicken curry. This time we tried the Tom Kha Gai soup. They divided it in the kitchen for us, My husband thought I ordered two, bowls because each one was more than adequate. We also ordered the shrimp tempura which came with tempura sweet potatoes, broccoli, onion rings, again, a generous portion. We going again tonight and we can't wait. Best Thai restaurant in Fort Myers. We had given up on good Thai food, so,this is a joy. We like the number four level of spicyness.

Outstanding service. Food was delicious, great ginger salad and wonton thai soup, very fresh ingredients and not greasy food. I had the Penang chicken curry and it was the best one I had since we moved from NY. My husband had pai Thai, again the best we have had, cannot compare to other nearby places. This is a true Thai restaurant, family owned and operated. And we also had the Thai donuts, yummy! Prices are very reasonable and food portions are very generous. Restrooms are very clean, same for the establishment, spotless. Give this Thai restaurant a try, you won't be disappointed!

How this establishment averages 3.5 stars amazes me. I think it's a solid 4.5. Apparently it's under new ownership and has really turned around! Went on a Monday evening and practically had the place to myself with my mom. We were surprised because on another night we had seen a ton of people inside the restaurant. But our fears were assuaged! I got my favorite Thai dish, the Pad See Ew with pork (noodles) and my mom got the same with shrimp. DELICIOUS. Huge portion (I recommend sharing and getting an appetizer.) So tasty-- better than the 2 Thai restaurants I frequented in Boston. Packed with veggies. Fairly reasonable prices given the sizes. Noodle dishes run $13-16 for dinner. Very attentive service and great food. Go go go! Can't wait to try some spicy curry. They have 5 spice levels to choose from and cater to vegetarians.) PS There are booths and tables.

I forgot what I had here so its wasn't that special but I know it was some kind of noodle dish with pork. It was really well made, not too greasy and not too big a portion. The waitress was cute and attentive. The bathroom was clean and painted neon or lava orange inside which made it memorable. Everyone else with me enjoyed their meal as well. Not 5 stars because it didn't blow my mind but was good decent and solid Thai food.
